Samsara has been reconstructing licensed Bob Marley items for the past 10years. Last month marked the 30th year of Bob Marley's unexpected death. Since we did not have a fitting event in the month of May to retire our Marley Reconstructed Line. We have decided to move that date to the Summer Solstice which falls on Father's Day Weekend. The event will take place in the month of June at the Sierra Nevada World Music Fest. Because we are discontinuing these wonderful and extremely limited designs in such an honorable way, we have decided to do something special for our fans and extended Samsara Family.
We will retire the Marley Collection with a "30 year - $30 sale" while the supplies last.
Understanding that everyone will not be able to make this event we have made it simple and fun for you as well. Buy your "30year - $30" Marley Item on our Samsara Etsy page.
You won't have as many choices as if you come to norcal but hey, we never have sales..

Essence Music Festival in New Orleans La
Yeah well we been from east coast to west coast spreading love the Samsara Way from Houston to New Orleans to Bk, from Bonnaroo in Tenn to Sierra Nevada in Mendo. Many Highs not much lows and the chance to see and meet the people that love what we do. Its not many actual artists/designers can say they get to do what they want so we give thanks. Things that we get from travelling so many to list, first I would say I get to see the demographic of the different product lines and we get to build with that clientele directly, ultimate market research , constructive criticism is the best because the people you meet are so damn honest. You cant help but to respect and listen so thank you to my reader who may have been someone that was real and told me what was nothing but truth about the product. Then the people that come back the following year with an item from previous years I LOVE YOU SO. They always have the biggest smile and the positive words of encouragement along with a story that would make anyone purchase a piece. And then the people that was a skeptics the first year and could not decide if this was really worth it cause its being sold at a festival s they decided not to purchase but are always the first to purchase the following year cause they realize that they missed an opportunity..lol I love you guys.....Seriously. Then to my tee shirt suppliers I love to see you guys to cause you are always salivating and puzzled that we really reconstructed your stuff....lol...... Love it...............Never Stop....... Hail to those times and moments and enjoy the pics I have attached.

California, you got to go there to really appreciate this state. I went to the west coast for a few weeks and stopped in Cali for the biggest reggae show in the country Reggae Rising . This event pulled in close to 30k reggae loving people from all over the country. The energy was amazing along with the positive music and beautiful ppl.

Displaying our merchandise was not only crucial but definitely breath taking as this was our first year the response was over whelming. Some of our previous items was also seen floating around from our lovely Samsara customers of past as well as many new comers.

Here are a few photos

I would have to say that One of our greatest highlights of the weekend was linking with non other than FYAHMUMA THE QUEEN IFRICA. Here is a pic of Queen and the piece we made for her. Its crazy how the world works, C made this piece to give Ifrica when she came to Atlanta Ga earlier in the year. We was unable to link with her at that time but this piece was destined for the queen and we eventually was able to link and share one of our creations. GIVE THANKS..

Along with linking with the queen we also was able to link with a few other artist here is a great artists been following him for about 2years now so it was our pleasure to link with him.
JAH DAN BLACKAMOORE rocking the eco friendly denim hat/traditional fabric check out his myspace http://www.myspace.com/jahdan1

The show this year was in dedication to Moese Angel, The High Grade Allstars performed and mashed it up with the collaboration of so many talented individuals. I can say this was truly a nice show and trip.

Give thnx to all the ppl that enjoyed the show and love and support Samsara Boutique we will see you next year and you can find us right here singing and rocking to the sweet reggae music "LIKE THE GENERAL"!!!

Who are we to not be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
By Samsara - Saturday, July 11, 2009
July the 4th is is celebrated with day long parties cookouts and fire works. We at Samsara had the opportunity to celebrate our July 4th weekend among some the counties finest Artists. The many mediums celebrate not only the diversity of talent but the wide range of creativity. From some serious life like sculptures by Woodrow Nash, to couture hat hand-blocker Ella Issac and Suzette Art Couture, Karmasoul and Rebel Designs for their leather works to name a few, and the list goes on and on and on......... We were indeed grateful to be among such creativity and are even more excited to say that our pieces were in demand by every demographic once again.
We created a small collection of balloon dresses, maxi dresses, jumpers, cocktail dresses and halter dresses. The collection was a part of the African Street Couture collection by Samsara Boutique. As always we had our one of a kind fabrics and lace earrings, this year we released handbags. Yes my people you favorite designers are expanding their accessory line and now have 3 bags finished in many different fabrics. From Mudcloth to Bazine we Incorporated premium leather in Black and Brown and now we have a tote , shoulder bag and clutch. { for those of you that do not know Mudcloth is also known as Bogolanfini, and I would go as far as sayin this fabric is the most eco friendly and green fabric on the planet}.We showed the Handbag/Tote at Essence but yet to release the other two. If you must see what the Tote looks like look keenly in the top right corner of the picture above and wallaaa.....
Stay tuned for the official release of these bags in extremely limited quantity!!!!
WE'RE BACK!!!!

What's up this is your girl C.... and your boy Drigo teaming up to get you up to date on Samsara Boutique's plot to take over the indie fashion world. Where should I start there is soooo much to blog about. We have been very busy traveling the states displaying our goods at Art shows and some of the best festivals in the US. Our journey continued in Austin, TX at the Reggae festival, then Houston, Alabama, Atlanta , Tennessee, California.
Austin is a great city very supportive of the arts and very veggie friendly, I found that the people of Austin have a deep love for live bands it doesn't really matter who is playing as long as the music is live and the acoustic is sound. Our designs sold very well and I think the most popular design would be the destroyed grn balloon dress and baby doll tunic. C-ya next year......
Next we travelled a few hours to Houston and displayed our work at the International Festival. This year the country of Ireland was the focus. The energy was great and all our extended family of customers came out to support Samsara. The earrings flew off the shelves and the African inspired designs were the best sellers. Houston is my kind of town and I look forward to seeing all you guys next year.

After a quick trip home to sew some more hot designs and make earrings, we traveled to Alabama. The Schaffer seafood festival they had a great line up Katy Perry, All American Rejects, LL Cool J , Snoop Dogg, and many more. The crowd was unbelievable and the love was incredible. Alabama is hooked on Samsara, no matter what age group or demographic they all loved the reconstructed rock clothing and can't wait until next year.

Atlanta Jazz Festival was not too great :(. The show was not handled properly and the artists suffered. I can go on and on about it but I wont. So lets drive about 4 hours north to Manchester, Tenn to one of the biggest music fest on the east coast, BONNAROO. This year was our debut at Bonnaroo and we were a big hit. I don't know if it was the heat, or the drugs, but when they came to our booth people could not compose themselves. No one could believe their eyes "this used to be a t-shirt no f*@#$ing way". Bonnaroo was great can't wait till next year. Oh yeah kids SAY NO TO DRUGS.
I'm going back to Cali to Cali to Cali I'm going back to Cali to the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival. Growing up in busy Bk , Cali is like another world to me, now on the other hand Drigo falls right in Cali, he often says it reminds him of home and the liberal and free attitude is enough to love by anyone.. I like the vibe and miss it very much when I am gone.
This year I ran into a few old friends Greg P-Nut Galinsky if you never heard of him you should google him his art is crazy and he is on tour with Vans sneakers doing some incredible stuff.. Next was a dear bredren Aba Shaka of the Musical Ark of the Covenant Sound. Not sure if you can google any info for him but trust me when I say music collectors extraordinar selector ..I like to call him a selector for the collector... Also here are a few pics of satisfied customers and friends Check out Tawni posing in front mystic Lion. Straight family love goes out to MAMA Irie look out for her performing at Reggae Rising..

So we have been extremely busy and although these economic times have been quite difficult for many we give thanks for the continued supports of all our customers.
We slacked off a little but I will dedicate more time to the blog as this is where we get to connect with our readers and you get to see whats going on in our head.
So we went to the Marley fest in Miami on 28th of February, and besides the change of venue the show was great. It always feel good to bless the season with the right show in the beginning and this was the show for it. Besides Sizzla, Capleton, and the Marley's we had a surprise from appearance from Nas.
The response was overwhelming and hear are a few pics for your visual stimulation...
This is our friend Kimika
