This is Organic Denim only the wash, treatment, and dyes are toxic? CERTIFIED FAIR TRADE? yeah just as fair as the container that Muhammad never paid his village for. you silly peasants are all the same and many consumers are just that, uneducated and ignorant. after the trend has went onto something else we will still be standing firm. For Samsara was and will never submit to organized mass production of the Eco Trend. We live and believe in what we ARE!
So influences are coming from all angles I give big thanks for it. Now if I can only direct all this cre-8-tive energy without overloading my senses. I felt this idea a few years ago but did not really develop much with it. I decided to use some of this years hibernation process to my advantage. So we are back from a very creative and inspiring travelling experience. We have so much in store for you the sneak peak of the t-shirt line will be coming soon. A preview of the new African Street Couture collection is also coming in the next month. The new jewelry line is also gonna be available in a month. Lastly the website is being built so stay tuned... Many of you are asking for updates on where we will be showing pieces, for the local folk of Atl we will be showing a few items in early December . Maybe a trunk show and sample sale I will let you know. If you are one of those many readers we have that do not subscribe then at least join the face book fan page. Speaking of the fb fan page we just uploaded pics and videos of Queen Ifrica and Jahdan wearing Samsara pieces onstage and also in interviews. What's up my peoples it is me C..... How is everyone doing? I hope today has found you well. It is freezing outside. NYC is sooo cold right now. Every night I tell myself I am going to the city to shop for textiles and then I watch the weather and say ooohnooo it is tooo cold. But I am going to be brave tomorrow and go. How do you shop for clothing, shoes, etc.? Well, when I shop for textiles for the new season I do a lot of research. I go and see what everyone has I walk and look at all the textile shops in the garment district. Then, I go home and revise all the great fabrics I saw. Finally, I go back to the city and pick up the very best textiles for my customers. We at samsara love our customers. Whats up my peoples, I am back in my old stomping grounds Brooklyn. It is good to be home, haven't checked out any of my fam yet still recuperating from the road trip up. Yo, it took forever, rode up with momz and the kids, but that's a whole other blog. I have mad stuff to do, I have to check out all the hot spots in the city, see what new, and find only the best new textiles to make this seasons clothing line. I got to go to Harlem to the African market to check out the new waxes from Nigeria and Holland. Let's see what else has been going on, oh yeah the website is still in the works and hopefully will be up in the earlier part of the new year. The website is going to be great you guys are going to love it. It is going to be easy to navigate and you will have access to all the Samsara Boutique designs. When we visit your city we only bring limited designs to showcase our work but, the website will have everything. The website will have our famous reconstrusted t-shirt designs, African designs, Hats, Bags, Jewelry and our new exclusive limited run t-shirts. And remember the items are all handmade by yours truly C.. and Drigo, the samsara family. Yo, my peoples, it is going to be 2009, new year, new prez, i don't know about you but this year is my year to take it to the next level. I have a lot of plans but, i can't let it all out just yet. We at samsara are working hard to bring you the best everyday. Today was very low key, I home schooled my eldest daughter and took a break. I guess you can call this a personal day. We were brainstorming about putting up an etsy page until the website is done. I am soooo excited about the website. It has been a long time coming, we spoke to mad people in the past but nothing came of it. But I have a real good feeling about it this time, I think it is going to happen and soon. I can't wait to have a direct link to my customers, a more personal cyberspace relationship( if there is such a thing :)) . I want to thank all the people who ever support Samsara Boutique. And I am not only talking about money, even though it is appreciated, but the people who understand us and love what we do.
